Insurance Policies
Some insurance companies require a formal referral from a GP, Psychiatrist or Paediatrician to validate a claim to see a psychologist. In this case, we will provide information on a number of specialist health professionals whom we work closely with. If you are unsure of the procedures adopted by your insurers, please contact them for authorisation.

We are registered providers with all the main health insurance providers e.g. BUPA*, AXA, AVIVA, Cigna, Pru Health and Simply Health.

We do not accept payments for treatments directly from health insurance companies. We will however, provide a full set of duplicate documentation (invoices and receipts) should you wish to claim from your provider. Please make this known at the time of booking your first appointment.

Some companies pay a standard charge, in this instance we would ask the client to make good the shortfall.  If you have any queries please call your health insurance provider.

It is your responsibility to check with your insurers of any amount that will not be covered by them.

BUPA Clients*
Due to the imposed billing structure at BUPA* we offer those clients with BUPA*, a specialised service of 45 minute sessions; billing the insurers directly for work undertaken.  Consequently we do not offer our first appointment package to BUPA* clients. If you have a policy with BUPA* please make Conatus aware of this prior to the first appointment, as we are unable to correct or transfer provision after therapy has commenced

Expert Witness Assessments
In medico-legal work Conatus’s duty is to the court and not to the claimant, defendant or any instructing parties. The report will contain an independent, unbiased opinion, negotiable only in respect of basic factual detail or clarification.  Please be aware that usual principles of confidentiality between patient and psychologist cannot be presumed in that instance.

We aim to provide a full report within 12 weeks of the written quotation being accepted.

One bound copy will be supplied to the instructing legal team at a cost of £21. Further bound copies will be charged at £21.00 per copy and can be sent directly to other parties.
