Covid Information

As our lives are starting to return to a new normal, so is Contaus. Although we have been working throughout via Zoom and Teams we now are starting to see our clinic open up to families again. We are continuing with Government procedures and advice of self distancing, cleanliness, masks, etc but hopefully time will lessen this need. We will continue to offer video conferencing appointments to all clients, but the possibility of coming into clinic is now possible.

Conatus Child Psychology provides a service for families, schools and social care services

We are based in Kenilworth, Warwickshire and operate throughout England and Wales.
We are a team of experienced clinical and educational psychologists, all of whom are registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). We specialise in the assessment and treatment of emotional, behavioural and learning difficulties commonly seen in childhood and adolescence.

Most families come to us with concerns about their child’s behaviour, emotional well-being or developmental progress. We work directly with you and your child to achieve a better understanding of the presenting difficulties. Our aim is to support you to feel empowered and confident in meeting the emotional needs of your children.
Behavioral concerns
Many of our psychologists have a special interest in working with children who have experienced early trauma. We work with children in foster care placements and children who have been adopted. We also deliver training and ongoing consultations to health and social care staff, including those working as foster carers.

In addition to our direct work with families, we offer consultative work to schools, working with both staff and children. Our educational psychologists conduct detailed educational assessments and psychological interventions in school to help students fulfil their potential and enjoy the experience of education and learning.

More than a third of those referred to child and adolescent mental health services in 2019 received no treatment; another third waited more than a year.
